We read in Leviticus 27:30 that
“A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD: it is holy to the LORD.”

The tithe was a requirement of Old Testament law, but also a reminder that everything belonged to God and a portion was given back to God to thank him for what they had received.

In 2 Corinthians 9:7 Paul proclaims that “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Give out of thankfulness for His Goodness, His Mercy, His Grace, His Blessings and His Word, all freely given to those who believe.
