Cubbies

Cubbies is the Awana preschool program, intended for 3 to 5-year-olds. Clubbers should be potty trained, and staff will offer opportunities to use the restroom throughout club night. Staff will provide a snack each week. 

The first time a clubber comes to Cubbies, they will receive the Apple Acres Entrance Booklet, an introductory brochure. Please work with your clubber to learn the Cubbies motto and the initial verses. 

Once the clubber has attended club night for a second time, they will receive a vest and their handbook. (If this is your clubber’s second year in Cubbies, they will re-use their vest from last year and continue adding badges to it.) 

In 2026-2027, clubbers will receive the HoneyComb handbook.

Please work with your clubber to complete a section of the handbook each week, memorizing the verse. Staff will review the handbook with your clubber each week and will provide badge award as they finish groups of sections. The staff will work at your child’s pace, so if your clubber has to miss a week or two, simply pick up where you left off. If your clubber is prepared to review more than one section at a time, please provide a note on your clubber’s handbook to ensure our staff is aware. 

The handbook also includes an activity that accompanies the verse(s) they are memorizing for the week. You are encouraged to complete the activity with your clubber, as it truly does help them to memorize and better understand the Scripture. But completing the activity each week is not required for them to earn their next apple badge.
